Stories in Progress #books #writing

List of my stories, complete or in progress.

Why are so many in progress? Simply because I like writing different ideas and cant finish or polish them before I move on to the next one. These are just quick and crammed summaries / wanna be blurps, gonna improve them later so dont mind the language.  Some works are only in Finnish and thus English summary may sound oddly phrased.

Rain Series (process name)

Sci-Fi & Fantasy

Basicly just a collection of some bad ass battle scenes in a world where humanity is divided into three groups: Those who use energy from within (Forcer). Those who flow the energy (Flows). And those who possers neither, ordinary humans.

Animals are divided into these groups as well and due to rise of these traits they have elvolved into giant monsters becoming massive threats to humanity. This has forced humans into walled cities. Travel between the cities is done in high risk caravans.
Story follows Rein, an artificial hybrid possessing both Flow and Force energy usage capabilities. His origin city was destroyed by an alliance of other cities after they discovered the attempted creation of hybrids that would threaten the balance between the cities and current factions.
Most of the citizens of the origin city have scattered around the different cities according to the refugee program. But some, including Rein’s family, setup a new city in a mineral mine that is highly contested by monsters.
Rein’s life is a miserable balance of trying to focus on school where he is blamed for the destruction of the origin city. Guided training after school in order to become the asset for the city the other nations feared. And in home at the outer wall of the city’s. In a basicly garage center, repairing mechs that mostly non-users control in order to guard the city and fetch water to it often with the cost of their lives.

Rein eventually gets kicked out of the city after challenging his school mate for a duel and narrowly losing. He travels the other cities with little success until he meets a girl who turns his life into an even deeper downhill.
